From the outside, the dish is nothing but a fried breaded white cheese stick or a spear of crunchy bread dough with queso Blanco stuffed in the middle. Tequeños is one of the most demanding and popular snacks found in Venezuela.

The ingredients used in preparing Tequeños:
Here are the magical ingredients that we take to create this mouth-watering snack. Such as:
- Flour, water, and salt
- Baking powder
- Vegetable oil
- Brown sugar
- Milk
- Fresh white cheese
Of course, we add the amount following our taste, especially required in Venezuelan dishes.
Preparing the Tequeños:
After collecting all the ingredients, we start making Tequeños step-by-step. You can get some of our cooking videos on Facebook. For instance:
Step 1:
First, we keep the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl and mix them. Then, we add milk, brown sugar, and vegetable oil as much as required while mixing the dough for five to ten minutes.
Step 2:
Once it gets done, we keep the dough in the refrigerator after wrapping it tightly with plastic for up to half-n-hour. Then, our experts bring it out and knead the dough with their hands until it gets smooth.
Now, we cut it with a pizza cutter or knife into 12 strips of one inch each. Also, our chefs don’t forget the cheese to cut into pieces equally.
Step 3:
Now, we start preparing Tequeños! Our chefs cover one end of the cheese stick with dough and continue to wrap it. Then, we keep them to fry once all the sticks are ready.
